CSR Strategy

With more than 1000 employees across 11 countries, Batimat is fully conscious of the impact of its various activities. That is why we have developed a positive corporate strategy of social responsibility that is based on the following 4 pillars:

• The economic pillar : To consolidate and grow the activities of the group.
• The employee’s social pillar: To apply a responsible human resources strategy in order to assure the wellbeing and security of all the employees.
• The Society pillar : To lead actions outside of the Batimat Group to help and support individuals and collective organizations.
• The environmental pillar : To respect the environmental standards and take positive action to reduce any impact of our activities on the environment.

Nos initiatives

Each subsidiary of the group puts in place actions at a local level in the framework of our CSR strategy.Batiplus Dakar for example has developed over a number of years a CSR strategy which is ambitious and fully integrated into the daily life of the business.

The Group has invested in recyclable packaging to reduce the impact on the environment and is continuing to reduce pollution due to plastic bags.

At Batimat Dakar, Batimat Cotonou, Batimat Niamey, Batimat Banjul and Batiplus Libreville, the plastic bags issued at the cash point have now been replaced by biodegradable Kraft paper bags.

Batiplus Dakar is a member of the Senegal CSR initiative which brings together companies (SME’s and large groups) who adhere to the CSR charter (can be consulted here).
